HIGHLIGHT
ITINERARY
Begin your summer adventure in Seoul, windsurfing the Han River, the mighty waterway that splits the mega-city in two. Wake boarding and water skiing options are also available, although for Seoul residents, windsurfing is the sport of choice along the Han. Spend the night relaxing at a jjimjilbang, the Korean-style spa. Rest this evening at your luxury hotel– we recommend either the Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul or the Conrad.
Enter Gangwondo’s Odaesan National Park. During the latter part of the day, trek to Birobong Peak, stopping at your discretion to the various Buddhist shrines along the way. Spend the night in the park, camping out Korean-style.
This morning, traverse the waters of the scenic Gangwondo province via canoeing, rafting, or kayaking. This afternoon, en route to the Gangwondo capital city of Chuncheon, cycle the hilly terrain with its stunning vistas. After your arrival in Chuncheon, take part in an authentic local meal of dalkkalbi, a savory chicken dish served family style.
One of the most particular experience in this summer adventure tour.
Today, muster your courage and prepare youself for the thrill of a lifetime. You’re going to sky dive in Ansan. Located on the western coast of the Korean peninsula, Ansan is the nation’s sole destination for this exhilarating activity. Attain a rare bird’s-eye view of this mountainous country from over two miles in the air. Spend the night back in Seoul.
Sanbangsan Mountain is the result of violent volcanic activity some 700,000 to 800,000 years ago and is in fact a huge body of lava.
Wake early this morning and catch a flight south to Jeju. Unwind on the gorgeous Jeju Island, one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Explore the beaches, decompress at your hotel’s spa, and prepare for your dive tomorrow morning.
Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. When diving underwater, a haenyeo carries only a pair of goggles, a round ball-like tube to keep her balance, and a basket to put her collections in.
Explore Jeju’s underwater world in a diving summer adventure. Jeju is a famous diving destination, with its tradition of haenyeo, or Jeju diving women, who are able to stay submerged for over two minutes without equipment. Of course, you will be given equipment for your dives. Later, charter a boat or just relax on the beach at your leisure.
Baengnokdam is a crater lake that sits on top of Hallasan Mountain at the center of Jeju Island. It spans 3㎞ in circumference and 500m in diameter, and is surrounded by over 300 parasitic cones. Baengnokdam is accessible from Seongpanak and Gwanemsa trails, which offer fantastic views of Jeju-do certainly.
On your final day, hike Hallasan, Jeju’s central mountain and a Korean favorite. Structurally a shield volcano, this natural gem is home to the oldest Buddhist temple of the island. Close the day at Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as “Sunrise Peak,” a volcanic crater ideal for viewing the sunrises (or sunsets) of this island escape.
Depart for Seoul and connect to your long-haul flight home or to your next destination.
